Getting started
Complete your athlete profile, including your primary event and current performance information. From the Train hub, choose Build Session, Quick Start or Practice Sprint Starts. You can also repeat recent work, open Templates or find saved workouts in My Sessions.
Build and train
Build Session supports ordered sprint components. Choose Acceleration, Max Velocity, Speed Endurance or Special Endurance, then configure the available structure, distance, repetitions, intensity, target and recovery. Review the complete session before starting.
- Quick Start: begin the warm-up immediately and configure the working set as you go.
- Ready Now: finish the current recovery early and prepare the next effort.
- Hold: pause recovery without ending the workout.
- Stop: choose whether to resume, enter cool down, save or discard.
Apple Watch
- Install and open MaxSprint on both devices before the first transfer.
- Build on iPhone and use Send to Watch; wait for Ready to Train.
- Keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled when transferring or returning results.
- If interrupted, reopen MaxSprint on Watch and use the offered recovery or resume path.
- For a missing workout, bring the devices together and open MaxSprint on each.
Watch can progress warm-up, working reps, recovery, later components and cool down. iPhone remains the preferred setup and sync device.
Audio pacing
Audio pacing is available for supported workout structures. Confirm the target, cue detail and device volume before the working set. Once timed work begins, timing settings may lock to prevent cue timing from drifting. Audio-cued results are useful workout data, but they are not equivalent to electronic gate timing.
Timing and Freelap
Manual result entry is available on iPhone and Apple Watch. MaxSprint also includes user-facing capture for compatible Freelap data and splits. Check Bluetooth permission, selected timing mode, receiver status and athlete chip details before training.
If a provisional manual or audio result is already present, a matching higher-quality electronic result may replace it in the final record. Freelap is a third-party system; compatibility depends on hardware and setup, and no affiliation is implied.
Results and Analyse
Completed workouts contain rep results, targets, splits where available, timing source and session summary. Analyse compares relevant efforts, tracks PB evidence, completed and high-intensity volume, sprint qualities and recovery context. Training results remain labelled and are not silently treated as race or PB evidence.
Account and MaxSprint Cloud
A Cloud account is optional for normal athlete use. Sign in to protect and synchronise supported athlete profile and workout data, restore it on a new iPhone and enable coach linking. In account status, use Sync Now and check the displayed sync status. Local-only workouts remain on that device unless synchronised.
If data is missing, confirm the account, network connection and active athlete profile before signing out.
Coach linking
Coach functionality is coming soon. Where enabled for testing or release access, open Athlete Profile → QR Code and ask the coach to scan it. Planned workouts can then appear for the linked athlete. Do not share a linking code publicly.
Trial and purchases
Annual and lifetime options are loaded from the App Store. Trial eligibility, regional pricing, billing, renewal and refunds are controlled by the Apple Account used for purchase. Use Restore Purchases after reinstalling or changing device.
